Piers & Docks
New piers, finger piers, platforms and mooring piles, plus in-kind replacement of tired piers on the Severn and nearby creeks.
What we do
Piers & Docks, done right the first time
A pier on the Chesapeake takes a beating from ice, storms and boat wakes. We build piers the way they should be built: piles driven to hold, framing sized for the span, and decking laid straight from the landing to the last mooring pile.
What we handle
- New residential piers and walkways
- Finger piers, platforms and landings
- Mooring and tie-off piles
- In-kind pier replacement and repair
- Pier sections for community and commercial waterfronts

Can you replace my old pier in the same footprint?
Yes. In-kind replacement of piers, platforms and mooring piles is a large part of our work. We look at what is there and tell you whether a repair or a full replacement makes sense.
Do I need a permit to rebuild a pier?
Most work over tidal water in Maryland needs county and state approval, and some needs federal approval. Design and permitting is one of our services, so we handle that side with you.
Can you add finger piers or a platform to an existing pier?
Usually, yes. Call and tell us what you have now and what you want to add.
